2 Corinthians 2:11

New King James Version (NKJV)

lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Did you ever stop to think why we question everything?  Our Father does not want us to be ignorant and wants us to search for truth in all things.  I believe that we do not live in the darkness that is surrounding us, thus why we continually search for that light of truth.

Yes, I put the blame on satan for all the deception that is around us. He is the father of lies and has gained control of many people. Unfortunately many of them are in places of leadership. Let your inner self be your guide and you will always keep moving toward the light.

Well I have good news – I do not have sleep apnea unless I sleep on my back, which I don’t normally do. My test results revealed that I do sleep on my right or left side, but when I was told to turn over and sleep on my back the sleep apnea kicked in. Not bad, very mild. So there is no need to go on the CPAP at this time. Just stay off my back, well duh that is not hard for me to do.

  3. cjzak says:

Not sure if anyone has followed the Piers Morgan drama, but this should be the last straw towards kicking him out. He looks down his very British nose and arrogantly calls our Constitution “your little book” in a debate about gun control yesterday with a guy from Breitbart. He is a clown trying to up his ratings by taking the worst possible side in this very touchy subject matter. Pushing buttons makes for lots of publicity and Morgan knows it as does CNN. But it is not working very well as his ratings are still bad and he is just coming off as a big jerk.

Hamas politician’s wife: We must teach our kids to die

We all know that the minute we are born we begin the dying process. But to me this does not allow a child to grow and be thankful for the gift of life no matter how long it is. I think it forces then to do things that fringe on being killed because there is no hope of living to begin with.

I am sure all are aware of the Left Behind series books. While I do not believe 100% in this fictional series I have seen some truths begin to surface. In the Kid’s Left Behind series there is just such a thing as the FEMA Youth Corps Division and they called them Morale Monitors. These books were written in early 2000 – thirteen years ago.

fwiw, I did purchase some 2013 American Eagle bullion coins today at APMEX. They are out of stock on a bunch of the older years’ coins but I had no problem ordering the 2013s. Now let’s see if they deliver it within 5 days like they promise. I’ll let you know. Silver is just over $30 an oz. right now.

  12. cjzak says:

I don’t trust Obama and his motives for one nano-second, but these femacorps folks sound alot like the peacecorps but based here. Maybe they will morph into more aggressive troops, but for now there is no sign they are even being armed with anything more than paper, first aid training and a promise for help with education loans. But in the future, if O hangs around? Yep I can see what could happen.

Read something kind of funny on another blog today(dark humor I guess): when you say “the IRS”, combined it says “THEIRS”. How very true and getting more so under Obamacare.

I don’t know how new it is, but we are certainly entering into a period of religious intolerance. It is going to get much worse.

Got this in an email so not sure if it is true or not, but we know they exempt themselves in a whole bunch of ways and it should be: NOT ALLOWED!!

Children of a congress member do not have to pay back their college student loans. How nice!

Monday on Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it.

Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.

This is an idea that we should address.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform… in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: “Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .”

It’s even worse than we previously thought. Obama’s going down again. Nope. There is no evidence anywhere that will prove this and tie it right to him. How many times have we heard this same statement since 2008? That whole scenario about Benghazi has been floated around since almost the day after the event.

There is a mountain of circumstantial evidence on numerous things that SHOULD have led to O’s ouster and even jail, but there is NEVER any irrefutable evidence to prove any of it and with a complicit media and judiciary, none of it matters. Teflon man will slide on through with no dirt sticking to him. He should be in the traitor’s chair imo. But Obamarama is one of the ‘protected.’ There are boat loads of people around him, in the military, in Congress, in his past, in the media, people who ran against him(Hillary, McCain, Romney and even Sarah) and none have come forward with the evidence needed to drop this guy out of DC. Cowards all.

In support of this theory, Obama himself actually signed into law the NDAA which authorizes secret assassinations of U.S. citizens on U.S. soil.

Wow that space article is amazing. Is what they are seeing really real? Or is it an illusion? Are we really here? Are we actually germs on a speck of dust? These are questions I got in my college philosophy class. We had to pick one of many of these and try to prove what we thought the reality was. Pretty mind bending and of course there is no correct answer. I used to have a headache after I did one of those papers.

If this is truth and we know God is truth, then I think we humans here on earth are about as significant as a speck of dust! It is amazing God pays us any mind at all when He has so much to take care of. I bet there are more of us out there somewhere that are His children too. If this is really real. ( Obama’s world makes me think it is not real.)

It is a concept that only blooms in the minds of parents as they become responsible for lives other than their own.

Along with Coot’s post, watch the video from Hannity’s show last night. A group of the people whose names as gun owners were outted by that stupid newspaper. Totally angry all of them. As they should be. The backlash on this will be tremendous if the gov tries to push gun controls.

  46. fernleygirl says:

Too bad Reid isn’t more strongly connected to that payoff. There’s no one in all of Congress that I’d love to see prosecuted more than him, and then put in the slammer. But even if they had marked money and found it in his freezer nothing would happen anyway.
I’ll happily trade your weather for mine. Twenty-nine for our high today, and a predicted low tonight of five degrees. I have to set the timer to remember to flush the toilet in the guest bathroom, and to run hot water through all the faucets to make sure the pipes don’t freeze. Pain in the azz.
Today I overheard two couples talking about a gun show in Fallon……they were disappointed about the lack of inventory, and how high the prices had gone up on certain items…specifically AR-15’s. One guy said he could have bought three last year for the price they wanted for one at the show. And they also complained about the lack of ammo.
I was thinking about this topic last night. Remember when Columbine happened? Reporters everywhere, choppers in the air? The shooting on the college campus a few years ago? Even the movie theater in Colorado had video of the event and cops going through the shooter’s car. What did we see when Newtown happened? Nothing.

  47. cjzak says:

Hope no one has a woodburning stove that you use to heat your home. The feds strike again through their favorite dept.–the EPA. We have 2 that we no longer use regularly. We were going to sell one. Guess we can’t now.

I watched the Hannity show last night and you could FEEL the anger bubbling – as you’d expect. I don’t believe all the gun owners and those waiting to purchase are just “republicans” and I hope this wakes up the stoopid ones to the evil they worship.

It’s about 3 degrees here – bitter, bitter cold. And the Broncos lost, which is depressing on the one hand, and a relief on the other. I won’t have to listen to all the Superbowl frenzy anymore. Watching the refs on this game was like watching the selection of THAT MAN. It helps to win when the officials cheat for you.

  49. cjzak says:

Fernley have you ever used this site? Seems to have some good financial stuff in chart form.

  50. cjzak says:

Katie I watched that game. I am a Peyton fan from way back. The Broncos did not get much help from the refs I agree, but they made 2 big booboos that cost them the game—the touchdown they messed up on defensively at the end of regulation to allow the Ravens to tie the game, and Manning’s interception in OT on an unusually bad throw for him.

Brrrrrr, it looked really cold on tv by the things people were wearing and the ‘frost’ coming out of the players’ mouths. We’re supposed to lose these warm temps very soon and catch that cold coming from the west. Yuck.

  51. cjzak says:

This is something to watch. First CA and then the other high pension teacher union run states like my good old NY. Too many takers and not enough makers for the future.

    FG, and Katie,
Sorry to hear that you gals are freezing. We were suppose to get snow but so far it seems to have alluded us, although it is nippy. (20’s at night and 30-40 daytime.)

Last night while wakeful I got to thinking about the fact that it has been about four years at least since a U.S. budget has been submitted. Then an interesting thought hit me, and if you choose, please give some input.

Reid has failed to produce a budget. The House has the power of the purse and can defund any measures it so chooses. I’ve heard many conservative Repubs repeatedly say that ObamaCare can be chipped away by this method. The other night I heard Newt Gingrich reaffirm that the House can exert its control by simply not passing spending bills on anything it so chooses.

Query: Could this be the ulterior motive of the lib Dems in the Senate? In other words, don’t send a budget over to the House so that the House has nothing to work with and therefore will not be apt to cut anything? Just a thought.

  53. Dora says:

Good Morning Everybody. I was going to post that article about the neighborhood fortress, but cjzak beat me to it. I was excited when I first read about it. It means the ‘movement’ is really beginning. If only I was 30 years younger I’d consider signing up.

I do hope they know what they are in for. They should remember what happened to the Weaver family at Ruby Ridge and expect the same kind of treatment. The Weaver’s home was private property and that fact didn’t keep them safe.

Hmmmm. I wonder what happened to Randy Weaver. I wonder if he still lives in Idaho. This group might be able to use his advice. Just saying.

They should remember Waco too and make sure that their homes and buildings are not made of wood. I do wish them luck.

In case anyone missed the story when cjzak posted it above, I’ll put it here again and give you all another chance to read it. I think it’s exciting!

  54. Dora says:

Remember when Pelosi told us that we’d all find out what was in obamacare after it was passed? Well, we are starting to find out – little by little.

The democrats are finding out too and now they realize that they won’t be able to restrict guns and ammo as easily as they thought. And just think – it was Harry Reid who slipped in that provision.

I suppose Reid was trying to get on the good side of the NRA, but what the heck has gun ownership to do with health care? Just imagine what else is hidden in obamacare that we haven’t learned about yet. Yikes!

The pain is excruciating which means weather change is coming. I sure don’t envy Fernley and Katie in those cold temps.

I can’t believe what the EPA wants to do with people who use wood burning stoves. Stop and think about all the folks in the mountains and in states who use wood to heat with. They intend on shutting them all down – give me a break, won’t happen. This is just a bunch of crap. How many years did America “burn wood” before all this started. Also they can’t police the entire world with this nonsense either. I am keeping my wood pile and will keep adding to it and if I have to use it I will.

    Charley Reese’s Final column!

A very interesting column. COMPLETELY NEUTRAL.
Be sure to Read the Poem at the end..

Charley Reese’s final column for the Orlando Sentinel… He has been a journalist for 49 years. He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN.

Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It’s a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

    545 vs. 300,000,000 People
    -By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. ( The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.)

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House?( John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. ) If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. [The House has passed a budget but the Senate has not approved a budget in over three years. The President's proposed budgets have gotten almost unanimous rejections in the Senate in that time. ]

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ..

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees… We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

    UN Agenda 21

“Sustainable development” means no development at all, and, in fact, the removal of people from large sections of the US. All facets of the modern free-market economy, including private property and the family unit, are considered “unsustainable.” Their goal is a planet that supports only one billion people. John Anthony explains how regulations based on Agenda 21 have already penetrated to the local level in the US.

Thanks everyone for posting all this great info. I had to shut myself off from all of it again for a few days.

I have also been resigning myself to the fact that by the end of the month I will be bringing my Mom home. Even if we win the case, it looks like Social Security will be impacted and that means she won’t receive enough money to stay in the assisted living home anyway. Maybe I need to move to South Carolina with my brother and get her in the SC system since they aren’t complying with zerocare.

I can’t believe our temps today will be almost 80. Wish I could share this warmth with some of you.

The Lord will help you through this and I know you already know this but we are to encourage one another until he returns. Hugs…….

A Baptist pastor was presenting a children’s sermon. During the sermon, he asked the children if they knew what the resurrection was. Now, asking questions during children’s sermons is crucial, but at the same time, asking children questions in front of a congregation can also be very dangerous.

Having asked the children if they knew the meaning of the resurrection, a little boy raised his hand. The pastor called on him and the little boy said, “I know that if you have a resurrection that lasts more than four hours you are supposed to call the doctor.”

It took over ten minutes for the congregation to settle down enough from their laughter for the worship service to be continued.

Good morning. Just haven’t been in the mood to do much on the internet lately. I’ve been so cold for so many days now that I feel like my blood has turned to sludge….or maybe just my brain. I’m still cold, no matter how much hot tea or cocoa I drink. Last night on the news it was 12 here, and 37 in Anchorage. And it was five degrees when I woke up this morning. This is getting really old………almost three weeks now. And my furnace can’t keep up. It’s set at 78, but the house is actually only 67 degrees max during the day, and then drops down into the low to mid-sixties at night. I think I’m going to splurge and go buy a space heater today. If I do that I can move it around with me and keep warm without blowing the budget trying to keep the whole house comfortable. Even my cats are cold. They’ve moved from their normal location at the foot of the bed to the floor in the living room, right in front of one of the heater vents, and they’re all smashed up against each other to keep warm. Sorry to be so grumpy, but one of the reasons we chose this location was the temperatures….usually in the mid-forties this time of the year. And jr……….80’s sound great! Weird, but great. Off for now…..gonna go be a grumpy ole biddy all by myself. :)

  75. A Crazy Old Coot says:

fernleygirl , you can’t be grumpy, that’s my name. It was given to me many years ago by my grandkids.

Seriously though, stay as warm as you can. One good thing about being cold though is that germs don’t do well in the cold either. It’s supposed to get up to 36 here in Tenn today. But, coming from the desert, that is coolldd to me. I wear layers of clothing so I can put on or take off depending on how cold or warm I get.

But, please, take care of yourself.

Cynka – aren’t you getting some “frosty” weather today??? It showed that you were on the weather channel. Coot, also heard you were going to get some of the icy weather as well.

As for me, I’m wearing shorts and sandals. You are right, weird weather for this time of year. I’m even looking for snakes when I walk outside. But my weather is saying that the cold is coming.

I found something very strange yesterday when I was looking at the obituaries in Newtown from Dec 14 to the end of Dec. I only found 11 obits for children and 3 maybe 4 for teachers. Where are the rest????

Lovre is the owner of an entity called Crisis Management Institute. The Institute provides a kind of social working platform to aid children enduring a wide range of disasters, including school shootings. Purportedly to assist the students of Sandy Hook she produced a PDF called “Talking with Children/Students About the Sandy Hook Shooting.” The only problem is it was apparently created on or before December 10th created before December 14, because it was posted before this time. As alerted by one poster the date of last modification of the PDF is December 14. However, was this really posted four days before the shooting? That can be seen in the screen shot above, which clearly records the 10th day of the month. The following screen shot was taken directly from the Word-Press code on her Website, cmionline.org, on January 9th and, of note, nothing has been altered or manipulated. If studied closely, the number “10″ in the date code is seen (that screen shot removed).

    Hat Tip!

I live approximately 40 min. by car from Sandy Hook, and was listening to the radio live as it unfolded.

I knew in my heart that it was staged, and exactly what Obama was up to.

The evidence now being uncovered is overwhelming, and yet the narrative will continue against gun owners.

I’ve spent a considerable amount of time reviewing the evidence on Sandy Hook,

all reasonable doubt has been removed, the government staged it.

what is most alarming, they are not even trying to dispute the evidence with more contrived evidence.

They are not offering any evidence at all to support their narrative.

They are all above the law now, and have no fear of being outed as corrupt.

We now live in a full-blown tyranny,

I don’t even think the people waking up now will matter.

They’ve stopped caring whether we figure it out or not.

In some ways, it’s similar to the manipulation in the precious metals, they couldn’t possibly make it more obvious if they tried, and they know full well nobody can do anything about it.

  82. Dora says:

Fernley and Katie I feel so badly for you both. It’s awful enough to go through that kind of cold in NY and New England, but the folks out west aren’t used to it. Stay warm and stay safe. I hope things get back to normal soon.

It’s not warm enough here for me to walk around in shorts, but this morning I noticed some pretty pink buds starting to bloom on my Magnolia Tree.

    Nature is all confused. :-(

  83. cynkading says:

Judy, it is pretty cold here as well. I just did not want to complain because I know that my cold weather is nothing compared to Fernley & Katie’s…….I just keep feeding the fire insert and it keeps things pretty warm.

I am pretty blown away with the Sandy Hook info posted above. I did not feel that what was being reported was truthful. It just really did not feel right to me. Too many questions and not enough credible answers. I do know one thing, that we will all have to stand before a holy and righteous God and give an account of the things that we have done and said in this body no matter whether you are Christian or Atheist. Just because many don’t believe in hell does not change the temperature one bit.

  85. cynkading says:

Btw, Lame Cherry has some pretty good reads over there if you so desire.

  86. Katie says:

I’m cranky, but it’s nothing to do with the weather. I just heard from a dear friend that her daughter’s dog she rescued a year ago (A stunning Boxer named Geronimo.) died this morning after a romp in a park in Kansas on Saturday. The autopsy shows signs of powder in the lungs…poisoned in the park. It’s so awful I can’t write any more about it.

Add to that, and now we have a hobbled Bridget and don’t know what is going on. It’s a front leg or shoulder that’s been getting worse, so she’s going back to the chiropractic vet and the one that does acupuncture this week to see if that helps.

Our homeowners insurance is going up by 50% so now I have to shop around and figure out what to do. Between that and the tax increase, it’s beyond depressing.

We’re a balmy 7 degrees outside at noon. Ugh. We’ve had maybe a total of 4 inches of snow in the last two months (the drought continues), but much of it stays on the ground because of the frigid temps. Very unusual here as “average” temps are in the low 40’s for Dec. and Jan.

Fernley, our house is staying very comfortable, and there’s a couple reasons it’s better now than before. I keep all my blinds/drapes closed when it’s this cold to prevent cold from leaking in the house. And a year and a half ago, hubby and I blew in 36 bags of insulation in the attic. Even tho the house is only 7 yrs. old, they did a crappy job, and so our work (and about $300 to rent the machine and buy the stuff) was well worth it. I don’t know if that’s something you have or not, but would highly recommend it. Just when I question if it helps, I can look at my neighbor’s roofs, and where they have snow melted off, ours holds snow on the outside for days longer so the heat isn’t escaping. My gas & electric bill for the last month totalled $215 – even with lots of Christmas lights on the house and trees (LED sure do save on the bill!), and these frickin’ frigid temps.

jr – I’m so sorry to hear about the impact on your mom’s care and your life. I wish I had a solution to offer. It’s going to become more common and the only way I can see getting through this is to find others in a similar situation and share caring duties so you can still live your life.

So I guess it’s official. We don’t need a Congress because the dicktator has won. It’s about time for that alien invasion so we can all worship The Won.

  87. jrCarolinas says:

Katie, I am so sorry to hear Bridget is now hobbling. I pray that the acupuncture treatment works on her like it did Hayley. Also sorry to hear about your friends dog. Neither man nor beast are safe anymore in this evil world we live in.

Troy, I suspected you might get snow as well out of this. This is not good, all this stuff will be heading this way. I just pray we don’t have tornadoes from all of it because it is so very warm here and gets very foggy at night.

Ya’ll stay warm and safe in all of this mess.

    The new state legislation will:

    * Limit ammunition clips to seven. It’s now 10

    * Force gun owners to renew their licenses every five years

    * Stiffen penalties for using a gun in the commission of a crime

    * Stiffen penalties for bringing a gun on school property

    * New restrictions on the assault weapons already owned by New Yorkers

“They will be basically not permitted to be transferred. They will be grandfathered in but not in terms of a transfer. There will be a registry,” Silver said.

I have polar fleece liners for the drapes, and they help a lot with the cold. No one around here builds with 2×6’s because this kind of weather is rare, especially for this length of time. Maybe, but probably not because they claimed they seceded from the Confederacy and joined the Union.

But the Confederacy was never recognized as a country so they could not secede from a country that didn’t exist. Also, the state didn’t secede, just the western part.

I’m no legal expert, so I really don’t klnow what I am talking about.

  102. jrCarolinas says:

Coot that is right, they didn’t seceded from a country. The point is that the western part of the state seceded from the state as a whole which was under the confederate states to side with the union to become a state under them which was in 1863. The civil war did not end until 1865.

But what we are talking about taking place today is a state seceding from the union of the united states. To me the only way this is ever going to happen is if all 50 states (or is it 57 – sorry I couldn’t resist) pull out and that just ain’t going to happen.

Specifically, it is about to be partially moved out of the New York Fed, where the majority, or 45% of it is currently stored, as well as the entirety of the 11% of German gold held with the Banque de France, and repatriated back home to Buba in Frankfurt, where just 31% of it is held as of this moment.

  112. Dora says:

Regarding the states – when we think of secession and the civil war, we automatically think of the north v south. But the fighting spread to the west too. In fact, the State of Arizona seceded from Nevada in order to join the Confederate States of America.

    Read all about Confederate Arizona.

Be aware that these articles are from a Southern point of view.

  113. jrCarolinas says:

All these ordinances for seceding we are talking about all occurred at the beginning of the civil war. Here are more:

    Alabama January 11 1861
    Arizona Territory March 1861
    Arkansas May 6 1861
    Florida January 10 1861
    Georgia January 19 1861
    Kentucky November 20 1861
    Louisiana January 26 1861
    Mississippi January 9 1861
    Missouri October 31 1861
    North Carolina May 20 1861
    South Carolina December 20 1860
    Tennessee June 8 1861
    Texas February 1 1861
    Virginia April 17 1861

    Arizona’s succession was about this:
Unique among the secession justifications, slavery was not an explicit issue in this document. Despite a statement complaining of the rise of the Republican party in the North (remember Lincoln was republican) and how it “has disregarded the Constitution of the United States, violated the rights of the Southern States, and heaped wrongs and indignities upon their people,” the Arizona Ordinance of Secession never once mentioned the word “slave” or its variations and its specific reasons for secession instead reflect the problems of settlers in a region in which the American imprint was growing but still limited.

I could talk about the civil war all day long :)

  114. jrCarolinas says:

When you really stop and think about it, the civil war was over the govt interfering in the lives of people. The point is that slavery was NOT the issue, it was all over land and the growth of the new territories because the North had slaves in their households as well.

Furthermore, his emancipation proclamation did not free the slaves in the states who remained part of the union:

    5. The Emancipation Proclamation didn’t actually free all of the slaves.
Since Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation as a military measure, it didn’t apply to border slave states like Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri, all of which had remained loyal to the Union. Lincoln also exempted selected areas of the Confederacy that had already come under Union control in hopes of gaining the loyalty of whites in those states. In practice, then, the Emancipation Proclamation didn’t immediately free a single slave, as the only places it applied were places where the federal government had no control—the Southern states currently fighting against the Union.

  115. Dora says:

jr – great find about Arizona. Probably the reason Arizona is not often mentioned as part of the Confederacy is because their reasons for joining had nothing to do with slaves.

In the meantime, the Civil War will not go away. Yesterday on his radio show, Rush explained how the left now wants to finish off the South. I don’t know if he is right, but he has an interesting point.

You need to be able to remember the era to really enjoy this… But even if you’re not old enough, this is funny, anyway!

It was a hot Saturday evening in the summer of 1961 and Fred had a date with Peggy Sue.
He arrived at her house and rang the bell.
“Oh, come on in!” Peggy Sue’s mother said as she welcomed Fred in. “Have a seat in the living room. Would you like something to drink? Lemonade? Iced tea?”
“Iced tea, please,” Fred said. Mom brought the iced tea.
“So, what are you and Peggy planning to do tonight?” she asked.
“Oh, probably catch a movie, and then maybe grab a bite to eat at the malt shop, maybe take a walk on the beach…”
“Peggy likes to screw, you know,” Mom informed him.
“Uh…really?” Fred replied, with raised eyebrows.
“Oh, yes!” the mother continued. “When she goes out with her friends, that’s all they do!”
“Is that so?” asked Fred, incredulous.
“Yes,” said the mother. “As a matter of fact, she’d screw all night if we let her!”
“Well, thanks for the tip,” Fred said as he began thinking about alternate plans for the evening.
A moment later, Peggy Sue came down the stairs looking pretty as a picture wearing a pink blouse and full circle skirt, and with her hair tied back in a bouncy ponytail. She greeted Fred.
“Have fun, kids,” the mother said as they left.
Half an hour later, a completely disheveled Peggy Sue burst into the house and slammed the front door behind her.
“The Twist, Mom!” she angrily yelled at her mother.
“The damed dance is called the Twist!”

nunua, Thank you for sharing this video. It establishes a clear and concise chronology of what we’ve (Dr Kate, Red Beckman, I and others) have been saying for the last 3+ years. His work on the replacement 13th & fraudulently ratified 14th Amendments is perhaps the best I’ve seen and I have researched extensively. This video is a very important work as it contains the missing pieces of the Articles of Freedom that we in the Third Continental Congress intended to revisit and add. We had a good bit of this information in our hands in the fall of 2009 but ran out of time and needed to build such an understandable chronology. In addition to sharing this far and wide, I intend to follow up with this gentleman. So please accept my sincere gratitude for bringing this to DrKatesView.

Best reason to protect our 2nd Amendment rights.

“Never forget, even for an instant, that the one and only reason anybody has for taking your gun away is to make you weaker than he is, so he can do something to you that you wouldn’t let him do if you were equipped to prevent it. This goes for burglars, muggers, and rapists, and even more so for policemen, bureaucrats, and politicians.” – Aaron Zelmanm

“Oh,” said Ole, “I persuaded her to svitch to a clarinet.”

“Vell,” Ole answered, “because vith a clarinet she can’t sing.”

I so wish this would really work. Good for these patriots anyway because at least they are doing something. Kudos to them.

These people are getting a good lesson here. Their hard work and passion was all for naught as they just got left out for the major festivities honoring their hero. Oh the surprised shock, the wailing and complaining. So sad isn’t it? We could have told them they were just useful tools who have no more usefulness to the regime. Sorry folks. Beat it.

Good Morning All. As I sit here I can hear the rain pounding down outside. Wow! Sounds heavy. It’s going to continue all day, but at least it isn’t supposed to turn into snow. I hope there is something good on TV. It looks like I’ll be spending the day inside.

I had a conversation yesterday with Hubby about the gun control issue and the possibility of an Executive Order. Tom said that if obama actually signed an E.O. before the inauguration, they’d better have the entire city of Washington surrounded by military on that day. Shortly after that discussion, I heard about today’s planned address with the children. Yikes! We’ll have to wait and see, but I’m inclined to agree with jr. This afternoon’s announcement will most likely be a warning. The E.O.s will come after obama and friends have their day(s) of fun. Whatever comes out of the press conference – I’ll have to hear it from someone else. The thought of watching obama make such use of those children angers me.

Morning – Got to head to work here in a few but I wanted to throw this out to everyone to see what you think, that is if you watched the video Troy posted.

I think I found the “key” to having the eligibility question addressed by someone with standing. All these suits brought against zero have been individuals and have been dismissed because they don’t have standing. Remember in the video he said we as individuals are just like al Quaeda. Well – A STATE NEEDS TO FILE SUIT. Also, I think that the state that does it should be one that remained with the union.

    Off to work – BBL

We outnumber our enemies thousands to one and this they know. Their strategy will be to attack a few of us brutally in an attempt to scare the rest of us into submission. And so we must, from the onslaught, be more vicious than any of our forefathers have ever been, and that is saying something.

    A Proposal That’s Gaining Steam

    Here’s how 20/20 would work:

Under current law, employees will be allowed to contribute up to $17,500 in their 401(k) plans in 2013; up to $23,000 for people 50 and older. But under 20/20, you and your employer together would be permitted to contribute up to $20,000 or 20 percent of your salary, whichever was less, to your account; that figure includes your employer’s match.
Brett Goldstein, director of retirement planning for American Investment Planners, a financial advisory firm in Jericho, N.Y., says this could reduce contributions by 65.21 percent for someone over 50 earning $50,000 a year. (The math is complex, but trust me, Goldstein’s right).

This is the only one of the 23 EO’s that disturbs me more than the rest

    16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.

But like Coot says, EO’s are not law, but zerocare is.

I just do not see where any of the EO’s will prevent someone using a gun to kill a person. It only takes 1 bullet to kill.

  151. A Crazy Old Coot says:

Unsurprising: Obama wants your doctor to ask you about your guns

By ROBERT LAURIE – Claims it’s not forbidden by Obamacare
Despite the fact that the Affordable Care Act specifically forbids doctors from collecting data on patient firearm ownership, President Obama will be issuing guidelines instructing doctors to do just that.

The pertinent section of Obamacare reads as follows:

    (2) LIMITATION ON DATA COLLECTION- None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used for the collection of any information relating to–`(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition;`(B) the lawful use of a firearm or ammunition; or`(C) the lawful storage of a firearm or ammunition

Well at 2:00 am my Mom started having seizures. They finally subsided around 11:00 today. But guess what I did, I got them recorded with audio and the nurse providing hands on assistance. This will carry a lot of weight when we go before the mediator, unless he/she turns us down then it will go before a judge in a court of law.

Even after the seizures stopped she was extremely disoriented and unsteady on her feet. Of course hard headed as she is she still tried to do things on her own without help. They really laid into her over that as did I. Didn’t do a bit of good. Like her neurologist says, in her mind she is fine even though she is not.
